As you walk a distance of 4.6 kilometers, each meter represents 1 million years of Earth's history. Along the way, you will learn about key concepts such as the formation of Earth, the evolution of life, plate tectonics, and the emergence of different species including amphibians, dinosaurs, and humans. The app aims to help you understand our common ancestral heritage and the ecological impact of humans in a geological context.
Deep Time Walk: Earth History also features a time-contextual glossary to review scientific concepts and a What's Next portal that provides opportunities for positive action in collaboration with organizations like Earth Charter and 350.org. For those unable to walk, there is a mobility-assist mode available.
